Nalge Nunc Polypropylene Screw Caps NALGENE 362150-0200. The low-density polyethylene incorporated into these caps makes them relatively rot resistant and also provides a significant improvement in refractometric and nuclear tests as well as abetter heat and cold resistance than DCP (Durable Polycarbonate). There are at least five different types of caps according to size that meet a variety of other criteria. Clear polypropylene caps are recommended for use with acids alkalis and bases whereas fuchsia caps are recommended for alkaline solutions. The frosted writing on the caps also facilitates the filling and closing process aiding in the filling and rinsing steps. Blue caps are recommended for use with saffron chromatography.
