## Description

The Rolex Day-Date Masterpiece designation sits at the apex of the Day-Date hierarchy, reserved for Rolex's most lavishly executed President-line watches. Reference 18946 represents the platinum 39mm expression of that pinnacle, distinguished from the standard Day-Date by its factory diamond bezel and the wider Pearlmaster bracelet developed specifically for the Masterpiece line. Configured here with the famously unrepeatable meteorite dial — sliced from the Gibeon meteorite and revealing a Widmanstätten crystalline pattern unique to every example — this reference appeals to collectors drawn to gem-set Rolex production at its most uncompromising. The 39mm platinum case carries a bezel set with 40 round brilliant-cut diamonds. The meteorite dial features factory diamond hour markers with baguette-cut diamonds at six and nine, day aperture at twelve, and date window at three beneath the Cyclops. Hours, minutes, seconds, day, and date are driven by Rolex's automatic chronometer caliber, paired to a solid platinum Pearlmaster bracelet with concealed clasp.
