## Description

Handmade bowl made of Olive wood with beautiful grain & sculpted grooves. The bowl is turned by hand on a woodturning lathe. It is made using a bowl gouge & a special tool for the sculpted grooves & then it is finished with extra virgin olive oil. The olive wood has been collected locally from Crete island in Greece. It is a hard, strong wood with rich color that is prized all around the world for its appearance. It usually has many curly grains with a contrast of colors from beige to golden brown & to dark brown. The grain from piece to piece can be completely different but we always choose the most beautiful ones! The diameter of the bowl is 22cm (8.5 inches) & the height 8.5cm (3.3 inches) . For shipping we try to be as environmentally friendly as we can. The item will be packaged in a sustainably sourced box, using wood shavings from the lathe as a cushion for safe transport. The box & the shavings are biodegradable. The kitchen items come with detailed preservation instructions. It is advised that the bowl is kept out of direct sunlight, & away from heat sources, liquid food & water soaking. This will ensure longevity of the product.
