The Story Behind the Dish - When I was first dating my wife, she would always be working incredibly hard. After working all day, she would come home & want to cook. I made the original Even Spoons Must Rest.™ as a gift for her. Her initial reaction was that I should start selling them because it's a message that could resonate with so many people. Sure enough, it became my best seller & is now a trademarked phrase. How it's Made - Handmade on the pottery wheel, each spoon rest is made with love. Once the dish has been formed, the phrase is stamped into it using my custom made stamp. The phrase gets a black inlay & the dish gets a clear coat, showcasing the natural speckle color of the clay. Details Spoon rests measure approximately 5.5" in width.
