The Afra & Tobia Scarpa Leather and Wood Monk Dining Chair is a testament to the duo's mastery of minimalist elegance and craftsmanship. With its blend of supple leather and finely crafted wood, the chair exudes unparalleled sophistication that complements both modern and classic interiors effortlessly. Materials & Features: Available in solid white oak with golden oak finish, and solid ash wood with a dark walnut finish. High-grade, luxurious vegan saddle upholstery. Fully assembled. Wood treatment: Eco-friendly oil-based stain. Please note that wood is a natural material that exhibits variations in grain, texture, and color. Finished wood products will vary from piece to piece. Tobia Scarpa was born in Venice, Italy in 1935. He and his wife, Afra Scarpa, both studied architecture at the University Iuav di Venezia, graduating in 1957. From 1957 to 1961 Tobia worked as a glass designer at the prestigious Murano glassworks of Venini before the two designers opened their own design office in Montebelluna. The Soriana sofa won the Compassa D'Oro for design in 1970.
